01How is this different from Chess.com or Lichess analysis?
Those analyses show, game by game, which move was better. Deblunder uses an engine too, but goes further: it explains the cause with pieces and lines, looks for the same cause in your other games and turns what repeats into training.
02Do I need to pay to try it?
No. Creating the account, connecting your games, seeing the diagnosis and doing the first training are free, no card. After that, you subscribe directly or try 7 days of full access before the first charge.
03How does cancelling work?
In one click, in your own account: no commitment, no fee and no one to talk to. On the free trial, cancel before it ends and nothing is charged, and we email you before the first charge. On a subscription, access lasts until the end of the paid period. Your games, diagnoses and training stay saved to view and export.
04Do I need to share my account password?
No. Chess.com and Lichess connect through your public username. You can also upload PGN files.
05How many games do I need to start?
Preparation analyzes up to 10 games in the time control you choose and can expand to 30. A pattern only appears when the same cause repeats across different games.
06What if Deblunder can’t explain a mistake?
It says so. When the cause can’t be proven on the board, the mistake is marked as an unknown cause instead of getting an invented explanation.
07How much time does it take each day?
You choose sessions of 3, 5 or 10 positions and set your own routine. You can train in a few minutes between games.
08Does it work for Blitz and Bullet?
Yes. Rapid is the default, but you can pick Blitz, Bullet or all of them together. Ratings from different time controls and platforms are never mixed.
09Does Deblunder guarantee my rating will go up?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Deblunder shows whether the causes you train appear less in your next games, with the sample in view. Observation, not a promise.
10Can I use it during a game?
No. Deblunder only analyzes finished games, so you train between games.
